Hello,
Now that I have a JP with a piezo, I'm trying to put it to good use.
First try, I used the "mixed" output of the guitar and played the piezo on my amp's clean channel. Unfortunately, the piezo output signal is quite strong and makes my amp crunch very quickly. If I play with the output level directly on the guitar, I have to go very low (too low) to avoid the problem. My conclusion would be that this amp is clearly not made for that, it's a high gain tube amp made for metal.
Second try, I used both outputs in mono and directed the piezo signal to a second amp (a more versatile, solid state amp). This configuration works fine, except that I'm not going to keep that second amp.
My question is: what's the best kind of amp for the piezo? I have little knowledge of amps for acoustic guitars, should I get one of those?
Thanks for any advice or comment.
