Goodbye sweet SR5, HELLO fretless SR4!

Since getting my BFR Big Al 5SSS, my poor SR5 has been neglected, feeling lonely and unappreciated. I just don't play her any more, so I just pulled the trigger on a trade that will send her to a happy home, and in return I'm getting this beautiful SR4 fretless:

I've only tinkered with fretless basses up to this point, so there will certainly be a learning curve. However, my band has a few songs that a fretless would be perfect for. I figure I might as well jump on the opportunity. I saw one at Guitar Showcase in San Jose a week or so ago and and came *this* close to buying it. Glad I didn't!





Now the waiting... I hate the waiting...

Indeed. She lives in Norway now. Arrived in the mail this morning. I tracked her down by her serial number, and found this forum and you. I just want to tell you that she's safe and sound, and will be taken well care of (although she will be slapped occasionally). She'll be upgraded with straplocks shortly, and I might consider switching to alnico pickups some time in the far future.



The perfect replacement for my old SR5 H that was stolen 7 years ago and sorely missed ever since.

Sweet bass...I've played many a fretless. Stingrays are at the top of the list!!

I've had several other brand fretless basses and my fretless Ray is the best by far.
