Since getting my BFR Big Al 5SSS, my poor SR5 has been neglected, feeling lonely and unappreciated. I just don't play her any more, so I just pulled the trigger on a trade that will send her to a happy home, and in return I'm getting this beautiful SR4 fretless:

I've only tinkered with fretless basses up to this point, so there will certainly be a learning curve. However, my band has a few songs that a fretless would be perfect for. I figure I might as well jump on the opportunity. I saw one at Guitar Showcase in San Jose a week or so ago and and came *this* close to buying it. Glad I didn't!

Indeed. She lives in Norway now. Arrived in the mail this morning. I tracked her down by her serial number, and found this forum and you. I just want to tell you that she's safe and sound, and will be taken well care of (although she will be slapped occasionally). :D She'll be upgraded with straplocks shortly, and I might consider switching to alnico pickups some time in the far future.

The perfect replacement for my old SR5 H that was stolen 7 years ago and sorely missed ever since.

Congrats! I'm looking to trade my fretless now, just don't play it much and don't see that changing. It was my first dance with a fretless, thought I'd try it, just not for me.
