I like to keep things simple, and although I will miss its versatility, I decided to sell my natural/maple HH stingray in order to buy a 30th Anniversary stingray. These 30th Anniversary ‘rays have been calling out to me ever since they were introduced and I just had to have one.

All I can say is, “Wow!” I’m in heaven.

I need a 5-string bass like this. Mahogany, with that lover-ly finish. Which, BTW, the Open House Bongo was (hint, hint). But which no 5 string bass on the planet has.

I really, really, do.

Really.

I do.

I'm not kidding.

Build it, I'll buy it.

I'm just not a 4-string guy. If I were, I'd buy a 30th RIGHT FRIGGIN NOW!

Gawd, that's a gorgeous bass.

You did good, Rich, although I do think that was one NICE SR4 you had.

But the 30th....oh my yes.

Yes, the SR4 HH was nice and it will be missed.

I'm sure I'll own another dual-pickup EB bass again, perhaps a Steling HS or even a Bongo if I can ever figure out what to do with all those extra frets.

Those extra frets are like talent. Even if you have it, there's no law that says you have to do anything useful with it.

God help anyone who even attempts to prise my 30th from my grasp!
