Even though I got to know Ross Valory pretty well in the '90s, that was a monster groove, indeed.
Was watching American Idol last year with the Missus when RJ came out playing bass to Stairway to Heaven for Mary J Blige, playing a Big Al. This was the first I had ever seen of this and was thinking "COOL!!! What the hell is that?!?!?"
Recognizing the headstock, I knew it was a EBMM product. I quickly got online, saw what it was all about, and ran out the next week to try and buy one. If it weren't for him, I would still be stuck in the dark ages with a stable full of F#$*@&s, because of the cool design, the ol' lady signed off on it just on looks alone. So, thanks RJ, Idol changed my life!!!

Glad to hear that, our domestic "Idol" is going on at this moment too, but I'm really disappointed, just one talent until now, but we are in "early phase" of the show!
I took a look at few YouTube clips of Your original this year A.I. show and noticed one great talent, it's Melinda Ademi, I remember Randy's face and voice: "I say YES!"
What about this girl, did she pass forward?
