the 20th is out of production, right?
has BP given any solid info on how long we have to wait till there are some concrete details on the BFR Silo?

you see, i might get me a 20th (white strats clip kinda convinced me that it suits me better than JPs tame sound. just need to travel 130km to test it). but so far i've only found ones with tremolo. i was wondering if it would still be possible to order one... and since i don't even know what the BRF silo's pickup config is going to be like, it's a big gamble to let this one go... hell, i don't even know if i can afford a BFR... but i would REALLY prefer a fixed bridge...

anyone got some info for me? (it's weekend and the distributor doesn't take calls home).

Dante, yes the 20th's are out of production and no there has been no indication that there will ever be a BFR Silo. So if you have an opportunity to pick up a 20th, now is the time otherwise the next time to pick up even a used one may not come around for a while.

The 20th is really an exceptional instrument.

Who knows if/when a BFR Silo will be available. Certainly you'll be waiting a long time from now to get one, so if time is an issue then find a 20th. You can always sell it later.

As for the trem/non-trem- you might give the guys at CS a call on Monday. They might be able to help you track down a non-trem- in that case you'd get exactly what you want. They also pop up from time to time on eBay. I think there's one there now.

Not sure where you're located, but on Pete Dubaldo's site there's a hardtail:
20th Anniversary Silhouette

So they're out there ... if you want a hardtail I'm sure you can find one. But if not, the trem is great as well. Just add a few springs so the trem is fixed.

To my mind, the 20th Silhouette is a BFR in all but name, which means EBMM have already done a BFR Silhouette.

That's not to say, however, that they can't do another one in the future.

see, i told you guys. BP ain't makin no secrets bout his BFR plans. dunno about that BFR Y2D tho, Y2D was the revamp already.

@whitestrat: this is this years GAS list
-LP std
-Am Dlx Strat
-JP6
-boss recorder & drum machine
-MXR comp&phaser, crybaby. blackstar distx
-Traded the strat, added 100e and made it a Hiwatt Custom 20
-gonna ditch the JP6 and my wasburn electric add some dough, stir, let rise, and turn it into a 20th.

but it's gotta stop somehow, right????

@Big Poppa : has R&D gotten any closer to deciding the pickup config on the BFR?
