I finally got my 2007 Desert Gold Bongo 4HH from Beaver Felton in Florida. It only took three months from when I ordered it, probably some kind of record for the busy season over at EBMM central.
I must say the guys at Bass Central are a class act all the way. They'll go the extra mile just to make sure everything runs smoothly. Beaver also inlcuded a CD of his SuperChops4Bass solos with the bass! Way to make me feel inferior Beaver
.
The Bongo is great of course. Feels really nice, looks awesome. The desert Gold color is truly amazing in person. And the sound of the two humbuckers... Well, anyone who knows EBMM instruments doesn't need me to tell them what it sounds like. The Bongo 4HH is just this side of perfect. I'd say it is perfect, but I haven't had it long enough (it just came Friday) to find anything I would change yet. I suspect I'll never find anything I want to change about it. It's that good.
Thank you to BP and the crew over at EBMM for making the best damn bass in the world. You guys rule. And thanks for maintaining a network of resellers who subscribe to the EBMM philosophy of "the customer comes first and must be completely happy or else...."
