Just check out that Bird eye maple, think I got lucky here. Once i cleaned it up and did a quick set up, plays like a dream. Still need to do a fret polish as they are in desperate need of one. Its a 2001 model.

These are extremely hard to find in lefty, let alone stop tail, let alone in Australia haha..

Very nice ! The neck is beautiful

Does a lefty in the Southern hemisphere (where everything is inverted : the seasons, the water in the toilets, ...) is in fact a righty in the Northern hemisphere ?

Thanks guys, what struck me as I have never played one before is just how well it felt under the fingers and the tuning stability is amazing. I have smaller fingers so this guitar fits me perfectly. I dont think i'll be picking up my other guitars for quite a while, this one just fits my playing. And yes the colour is definately "Fire engine red". Wasnt a fan at first, but its got character and mojo.

Yes I did, strangely it shows as Translucent Gold on the serial number lookup, yet its clearly Fire engine red. There is no signs of a re finish on the guitar. what do the build codes mean?.

Woah a mystery, could be a repaint. Or maybe an artist model and they wanted a specific color.

I don't remember solid red being offered in 2001.

Or it could be that the plate was swapped, that happens.

2001 is before my time so not sure if red was offered, the serial number DB can be wrong my early 90's Silo comes up as a pink EVH and if that is a refinish , damn good job!
