I finally got my sterling, I can't believe I bought this bass brand new but its beautiful. It plays great.

Its a Sterling H/S Rosewood W/ Matching Headstock..

It replaced my Sparkle Red Stingray that I sold to fund an engagement ring. I miss it and regret selling it but this makes up for it. From now on I do not plan on selling any more basses that I even have to second guess..

I have owned:

1989 Black Maple Stingray [sold it for next bass]

Trans Red Sterling [sold it because it sounded too agressive and didnt like color]

Orange 5 String Bongo HH [Sold it because of lost job.]

Sparkle Red Stingray [Sold for engagement ring money]

I now want:
My Sparkle Stingray Back
5 String Red H OR H/S Bongo

As for my new bass I thought it would be much brighter like my stingray or the sterling I had before. However its not and instead of usually having treble rolled back and a little VLE on my markbass I have to boost my treble.. But I do love the tones it gives me with the extra pickup.

Will post pictures soon.

Congrats on the new bass! Interesting how each has their own character, sounding a bit different. It's what makes collecting fine instruments much fun.

Is that an all rosewood neck or just a rosewood fretboard?

And about your red sparkle 'Ray: I hope you can get it back. It was really special.

It really sucks when you have to sell gear to get by. Glad to hear you bought a new bass. And I hope you can find and buy back your stingray. Good luck!

Welcome to Club Sterling! I personally think it's the sweetest bass EB makes. That's why I own 5 of them! Pic will be required of the newest addition. :D
