Got My New Silhouette Special...one problem

I disagree. I think Mr Erlewine is a great tech/luthier etc. but on our trems(except the Luke and JP) the back of the trem should rest against the body. This info was given to me by my sensei, the guy who designed our trem, Mr. Dudley Gimpel.

BTW if you do block the piezo trem use 2 pieces of wood, or drill a hole through it for the piezo wire.

BTW, if I haven't yet mentioned this, the guitar is smooth like butter. Wow! We had some guys working on the house today, and one happened to be a guitar player. He wanted to hear it, so I plugged in, didn't even try to get a good setting for tone, and just went for it. Oh my...had it on the single coils with just enough distortion to give it some energy, and ah yes...it felt good, sounded good...if I could marry this guitar...

well, then I would have some serious issues, but it is niiiiiicccceeee!

Fortunately for me, I don't listen to books all that well...I have all mine resting as per your instructions...
