I had the great pleasure of seeing AC/DC in Greensboro, NC last night. It's the first time I've had a chance to see these guys live, and it was worth every penny. Had fantastic seats (lower level) and these guys put on a heck of a show.

My ears are still ringing close to 24 hours later. Highlights:

1. They rolled the six cannons out for the encore. Very, very loud.

2. Massive "Rosie" riding the locomotive they had as a backdrop.

3. "Let There Be Rock" went on for quite some time, very well done.

These guys look like they're having as much fun now, as they've ever had, and Angus hasn't slowed down much.

Lastly, much respect for Cliff..... he's a rock solid player, and his Stingray sounded fantastic.

Cliff Williams... probably the most underrated rock bassist, IMO. The bass lines aren't complex to notate, but trickier to play well.

Subbing at an AC/DC gig would be one of the most fun, yet terrifying things I can imagine.

I had a total re-awakening to "bass playing" about a dozen years ago, when I started 4-tracking some rough AC/DC covers at home. Found out real quick that being able to play the notes didn't mean you could play the song. :D

Sounded like a good time!

AC/DC kicks some serious butt live. Last time i got to see them was on the Razor's Edge
tour, and hope to see them again if they ever come my way.
Oh yeah, the cannons on "We salute you" shake the whole building as much as they do.
Same here ....My ears rang the whole next day....It was awesome.

Acca dacca rock, glad you enjoyed it mate, as you say Cliff's a very solid player and his lines are a little trickier that you first think, I agree his Stingray tone is great, bassy with a nice punch to it, just as it should be, Let there be rock!

Got backstage in Manchester UK earlier this year for soundcheck (AC/DC are that big... they have soundcheckers do it for them!!) and managed a couple of pics. Sorry about the quality. Taken on my phone.
First up, Angus's Rack(s). Now, they say 'Marshall' but they are actually handwired by 'Wizard'. Angus just likes to keep the Marshall legacy going.

Next up, Mal's rack (he has four of these!!!!)

Finally, Mal's Guitars....

I was GOING to see ACDC in Las Vegas. They cancelled the day before I arrived. :-(

I guess I'll never get to see them live.
