So, I'm in LI and got to visit ernie1966......the ride to his place was great, little to no traffic. It was the ride back that was horrendous!

So, I get there and of course, I have to see the "Mega JP collection". So, ernie busts them all out for my own private viewing. All I can say.....OH MY GOD! He has got one hell of a collection of JP's, and some great sparklies (I got pics) and some other guitars as well. A beautiful EVH, and some other guitars such as Ibanez JP's, a chrome boy Satch, and a clear acrylic Satch (which was simply gorgeous). There were guitars all over the place! More than some music stores I have been in! You should see....it is unbelievable.

Well, we sat down with a couple of JP's in hand and I got to listen to ernie play. Phenomenal......dude not only has one of the most bad ass collection of guitars, dude can smoke.....I got the priviledge of a great guitar lesson from him. Something that I will definitely use.

I love my trips in meeting forumites cause I always get a great lesson or two from someone....hehehehehe....believe me, I can use them!

We played a few things and his wonderful wife got dinner going for us. She is simply a wonderful person and full of life. Believe me, you cannot walk away from her without eating.....made me feel very welcome....thanks Lisa! If you ever get to meet them both, you will certainly walk away with nothing but good feelings from them. They are certainly great peeps who enjoy life. It is an honor for me to see them again! I just wish the world was full of more people like them.

I got to photograph some of the sparklies and a couple of other axes of ernie's. Just sooooo many of them, it would take a few days to get them all!

I certainly enjoyed the time over at his place, the food was great, the guitars are great, the playing was great and the best part.....ernie and Lisa are great people who everyone should have the priviledge to meet.

Thanks for the books bro, I will put them to good use as well as the lesson. You rock bro!

If he's got a chromeboy and a JS2, he's got himself quite a collection.

The "acrylic" Joe is a pretty sought after JS2. If I had the money, I'd buy one, too. That's awesome you got to see some of these guitars in person, I'm sure by a person who keeps them up.

Yeah, ernie has an awesome collection for sure and they are all immaculate. He does have some players hanging out though. I never saw an acrylic Joe before, that was certainly a nice surprise.
