I found out last night that the singer isn't going to be @ the service so I'm singing (mainly because nobody else wants to).

I can't put as much passion in either when doing both so I'm nervous. I guess I'll focus on the singing and stick to I-V city on the SR4.

Good luck!

Fortunately I NEVER have this problem.... ever. I can't sing, and I can't multitask.

It does however amaze me when people CAN do this, especially on bass.

Again, good luck, I'm sure you'll do a fine job!

Im with Matt... not so good at multi-tasking when one of the tasks is playing bass. BTW... Matt, where are pics of the roasted Reflex? JOSH

Ugh, ...I don't envy You on that, ...I was singing lead vocal and playing bass for more than 20 years, ...but few Years ago we took a young singer in the band, 'cause my voice become like Joe Cocker's! :D

Now when I just occasionally sing back vocal, it's more comfortable to play bass and I feel free like never before! ;)

I have been doing it since I was 13, so I have a hard time understanding the difficuties that others have. I do understand that some songs with sycipated beats can be a challenge for us bassists to sing and play at the same time.

GOOD LUCK!

I'm always super impressed when people sing and play any instrument (especially bass) and do both really well!

I can do it but I have to stick to more of the roots. Think vocals first and steep it on a lot of prayer.

Yeah that's what I will do. The people need to get the messages of the songs foremost so I'll put more fire in the delivery and worry less about the basslines.

I'm still glad I ain't flatpicking an acoustic though, since I get to pick the keys I chose them so that I'm in the upper middle of my range and ended up with a few F's.
