As i was saying in another thread, i bought my sterling a week ago. I had my first band practice last night since then. WOW loved the tone. it is a bit different than what i was hearing at home (as expected). Gone are the muddy tones while playing on the lower parts of the E string. Heck i never played that much on that string in the last year!
I'm now listening yesterday's live recordings and the tone sounds great here too.
I'm not missing my former J bass one bit.
thanks all again for the suggestions for the neck maintenance. I got 0000 steel wool. It cleaned it perfectly. I will get gunstock oil & wax this weekend to finish the job.
