Last night the holy grail of sparkly green guitars finally arrived.
The Gremlin Green Albert Lee - (matching - s/s/s - trem) and even though I typically prefer hardtail and natural on a maple neck, it was not worth passing up for the minor details.
I've been looking at this for a long time, it was actually in a shop in Georgia for well over four and a half years and we finally agreed on a deal after speaking several times over the past year or so. In between I bought the envy Sil Spec and had a deal on a buttercream NOS that someone walked in and bought while I was waiting to get an e-mailed photo.
Its a good thing most other people won't buy either a) sparkle guitars or b) green guitars. So when combined, I was the only one left in the market
The pictures I've seen of this and other gremlins do no justice to the finish itself. In person the sparkles are outstanding. I can only post an old photo provided by the music store at this time. But I will get some better shots with outdoor light this weekend.
She is also in need of a set up and neck treatment. I may do it this weekend with my limited skills or I was thinking about sending it to Jon for the full factory pimp job to start it out right. Also want to thank Dan in CS for working with me on hunting this stuff down and dealing with some store issues.
Either way it is green and it is spectacular.
