I recently bought a fishman loudbox mini to use with my JP6's piezo output. I run the magnetic output to a mesa boogie dc-10. I use 2 mono guitar cables instead of the stereo cable.

I get a loud ground hum when using the distorted channel on the dc-10 amp (using the magnetics of course) For the clean channel the noise is there but a lot less noticeable.

What are the ways of around getting this hum noise?

You've got a ground loop, so you need to isolate the ground path from the two amps using something that's transformer isolated.

So a DI with a ground lift, buffer with a ground lift, etc. Quite a few gadgets that will do it.
