I plan on wiring up a few pickguards for my Silo Special so I can change sounds quickly. I also want to keep the original pickguard intact so I don't have to undo the Silent Circuit. I'd love to do this with the molex connectors too, since I have a few.

I noticed when I took the back plate off of the SS, there didn't seem to be a string/bridge ground wire. How are these grounded? And if not using a Silent Circuit with passive pickups, I would wire the molex to the output jack (hot and ground) to make for easy pickguard swapping, but I'd still need to ground the strings to the electronics so the strings don't act like an antenna. So, without a ground wire to the electronics (that I can see), how are these things grounded?

There is a ground wire from the bridge that runs into the cavity, it's soldered to a central point in the cavity with other grounds.

In terms of wiring up a new p/g, yes, all you'll need to do is wire hot and ground to the molex connector, since you won't need the power lug.
