Let's see... I ordered it in early november so that would be about four months.

The guy at the store hadn't even opened the box when I got there. It was pretty incredible. I wound up trying it out on a Traynor stack (pretty decent sounding amp; but I like my Peavey XXL a little better).

I had to change the strings on it though. The last four months I have been playing exclusively on an Epiphone LP model with .11 rps strings. It was like switching from 25lb dumb bell curls to 2.5lb dumb bells......

I plan to gig it next friday at an open mic :D

All in all, it's the best guitar I've played. Ever. hands down. You guys at EBMM make damn fine instruments.

Fantastic buy! Great looking too. I ordered an ASS in late November and Pete D just emailed me today saying it would be another 2-3 weeks. So, it looks like I'm tracking about the same build time.

Good luck with your Friday night gig!

Great choice Carbon Tim - I have exactly the same model (pre D-sonic) and absolutely love it.

Welcome to the EBMM (Canada) family!

P.S. Time to take down those Christmas lights!

P.S. Time to take down those Christmas lights!

Funny story behind that: I was taking all the Xmas Decorations down like the palm tree and the santa-proof chimney cover (props if you catch my reference) and putting all in the back of my store room. I wound up getting everything in the store room put back together with the decorations hidden in the back and turned around only to find that I'd left up the lights on the window. D'OH!!

As far as the neck goes, it's just amazing. I had an Ibanez JS that felt pretty good in my hands but this just feels like greased lightning. The versatility is unmatched. I can go from hard riffing melodies to an acoustic ballad with the flick of a switch.

The switch placement is the only thing that's caught me though. I used a Les Paul model for YEARS so the natural tendency for me is to switch neck/bridge pickups with the horn switch...... oops.....

It's definitely hands down the absolute nicest and best sounding guitar I've ever played. and I'm still not sure how the BFR could be nicer but I am particular to mahogany.........
