wow, everywhere but this Godforsaken town had a sweet sale at their GC, my buddy back in WA said they had tons of stingrays,
the GC here has 1 stingray, 1, and it's the same one they've had for over a year now...
1 good thing. I walked away with a free set of bass strings, and a mic cable, so my ground problem is fixed with the line out of the m2000, and i got some new lorider 45-105's to replace those EB strings...
the EB's were nice, real bright, but nothing compares to the huge fat balsy tone that the loriders give..
i changed them out fairly fast, got 4+ windings on each, and the difference in tone is astonishing.
The EB's sound thin compared to the DR's, the full bottomend that i get out of these blows away the wimpy bass from the slinky's.
wow, everyone should try these at least once, I think many will convert.
i must say tho, if you like a very bright sound, ignore them. they are dark but fat.
