Hi all,

According to the 'Next Month' info on page 195 of the March issue of Guitarist (UK mag), there will be a review of a 'Music Man Steve Morse signature' in the next issue.

On sale on 22nd March apparently. Will have to look out for this.:)

PS: I've just realised that my title for this thread hardly makes this look like earth shattering news!!!!:D

Well it's out. The review of the Y2D starts on page 90.

I've only had a quick scan so far but clearly a very positive review, Guitarist awarding it a 'Five star-Guitarist choice award'.

Also saying - "Incredibly, this guitar could replace your collection of Strats and Teles in one fell swoop, so authentic are its clean sounds." - I think they like it!!!

There's also a great full page pic of said geetar in de-purple burst on page 90. Very nice!:D

EDIT: STOP PRESS!

I've also just found a five page Silhouette retrospective starting on page 144. This has to be the most Music Man-tastic edition of Guitarist ever!

There is also a comprehensive history of the Silhouette on page 144 written by Paul Day.

Love the purple Silo with gold hardware too......

That's a great idea!

I was thinking how nice it would be if you at least had a picture of one you could look at! :p

Silly boy!
I think I've got that covered!

Question 4 U:

If you sell your glow in the dark swirl JP, does this mean you'll have to change your avatar which matched it so well?

No. Just based there. A lot of places carry it.
In Canada, Chapters or Indigo should carry it. Or anywhere that likes variety.
I went to go get it, but they still had last months issues.
I'll wait a few days, and try again.

Indeed, but I don't think that that guitar is going anywhere (hoping....fingers crossed :( , so we'll see)

Plus, last night I put 10-52 slinkys on - my oh my - I love what those things do for tone! Dang though, I had to screw that claw plate almost to the wood! I wanted to have just 3 springs still - maybe I'll go to 4 and readjust. Oh well, I'm rambling......blah.....blah....So, foggy what kind of strings are you using on your EBMM?

I think Barnes and Nobles in the States carries it as well.

Well, when I get the guitar, the strings that it will come with will probably be worn out on the first day! :D

I have a case of 10s Regular Slinkys that I one for coming up with BP's avatar.
After that I use whatever EB currently has that is comparable to the 5150's that were offered way back when!
EB strings are the way to go! Aside from them owning Music Man and this being a great place. I tried a lot of strings back in the day, but EBs always felt best! :)

When is the target date for that? And what model/specs are we talking about?

It's amazing that a dual-humbucker guitar could replace a Strat or Tele!
