Guitar strap post, near neck question

I have a fairly new Sterling and I notice the post wheere the strap conncects, upper near neck is loose, meaning the circular piece, not the screw, spins a little. Is this normal?

Tighten the screw

mine was like that too..........the screw was tight.............changed to locking ones soon thereafter.


i suggest the lockers too man.


strap locks rule.

Ray, if you can't get it tight enough to stop the strap button from spinning, try shoving some toothpicks in the hole and try again. It's a common issue on most basses at one time or another.
