I posted this a little while back in a thread called "What would you change about your fav musicman guitar?"

What would I change about my favourite musicman guitar?

I'd change the fact that I don't have one.

As a poor student, (17) I thought it might be some time before that actually happened.

However, THE perfect specimen came up used on ebay,

Candy red Silo with maple neck, it was £850 and I knew I had to have it.

A little wrangling later, and I've bought it. It's on its way to me. I need to cash a cheque, and send the paypal payment, but then its mine.

I can't actually wait.

I start music college on Thursday, and the guitar should arrive shortly after. I feel like this guitar is going to be the guitar for the next chapter of my musical journey.

I'll post pics when it arrives, but honestly, I can't wait.

tl;dr: Bought first musicman, coming soon, AWESOME.

Welcome to the club!

Or shall I call it the addiction?

Either way, you're in for lots of fun. Enjoy.

Congrats on the Silo, and also going to music college. The only advice I can give you is to find your own voice on the guitar, and be as original as possible. Who knows in a few years you and that red Silo may shake up the world.

Congrats....and welcome aboard

And don't forget the pics - as you might have already read here before, the guitar doesn't exist without them :p

Stick around!

Thanks for the warm welcome all.

A thanks to Big Poppa and co for these instruments.

I know the rules, no pics = no guitar, of course, I hope the guitar is real, especially after seeing that money just leave my paypal.

Anyone know anything about UK knuckleheads sourcing a black pickguard, without having to get one custom made?

Expected date is Friday this week, this wait is unbearable.

But I won't say that when I order a new one down the line. THAT wait will be unbearable.

ScoobySteve, guitars should be safe for now, its an amp next, slowly just upgrading my rig. After that though, its gonna be a lifetime of abuse of my wallet.
