Have you guys heard of Leo's office being left untouched since he passed in 1991?

Well, I was hanging out in it last week...

And what did I see? Was it Bo Diddley's answer to the Music Man bass?! Nope, just one of his many prototypes!

In fact, in the "neck bin" was a whole lot of familiar items...

Was amazing to be there - a very spiritual moment - and great to see Music Man so well represented! :)

That's a great glimpse of recent history of the last few decades. Must have been quite an experience.

Is that office open to the public? Like a Museum?
Or did you know a guy who knows a guy that knows...

Not open to the public - I jam with a guy that's in management there though - so have a direct "know a guy" link.

Was an honor and privilege to be in that space and think I'm going to frame that first pic (me sitting in the chair) and hang it on the wall! :)

Very cool 'kestrou' to be sitting in the chair of=The Man! Kind of like sitting in the Presidents chair in the Oval office lol. Look how outdated the electronic equipment on the desk seems to be compared to today. (canuck6string) that is really no big surprise, as when Leo was a partner at Music Man he developed the 'Stingray' bass which was released in 76 that had a "3+1" headstock. What always struck me as mind boggling is that Leo wasn't a player and though attended a junior college never took any electronics courses and upon graduating became an accountant, so he basically taught himself everything he knew about electronics.

That's awesome Kevin... Pretty epic.

And that shirt..... I *have* to have that shirt... Equally epic.

What? No comment on the snakeskin boots - which match my snakeskin guitar strap? :)

I was given a lot of crap for going for the "Allman Brothers" look.

Awesome pics!
I seem to recall a former EB employee saying Leo's desk at MM in SLO was now in the repair dept there.
But being used.
(i realize this is a different desk at a different place)

To quote one of my fav movies, Shawshank Redemption, "Seriously, how often do you notice another man's shoes?"

I didn't notice... But now that I do, I'm going to quote another movie...

"GIVE ME YOUR BOOTS, YOUR SHIRT, AND YOUR MOTORCYCLE!!"

Any chance you could get me in there? My bench was the one on the right. Things look pretty messed up. Probably painted the walls. He had a contact list and phone on the wall that would have been cool to see.
