Yes indeedy, Happy 4th to all...
For me, fuses need not apply. Although I commute regularly to "the city" my hometown has a very "middle america, small town feel" and it shines at times like these.
Aside from the local parades and such, there's a fireworks show that the township sponsors that is to die for (went off on Saturday eve). We gather around a local park/pond on blankets and lawn chairs and are treated to an awesome spectacle for a 20 minutes display of color, light and sound!
The mortars go right through you - seriously - any more "up close" and it would be dangerous!
