Happy 10th Anniversary Bongo Bass!

I think now it's the right time for everyone to buy one, ...new of course, ...with DOB: mm/yy/2013. :)

I like it! Happy 10th Anniversary Bongo! My PDN Honey Burst that is being built will be a 2013. The order somehow got lost when they were placed last April and it wasn't discovered until September. Fortunately both Bass Central and Music Man were awesome on their customer service and built the bass anyway after the fact. As a result, not only will my PDN be the only 4 HHp ordered but the only one that is a 2013 model. I didn't even realize that 2013 was the 10 year anniversary of the bass either. I had kind of forgotten about that at the time. One thing is for sure. While I love all Music Man basses, the Bongo is my favorite! Here is to 2013 being the year of the Bongo!

At the 2007 forum bash, Dudley Gimpel wrote this on the back of one of his business cards. I have it.

As soon as my local dealer come back from NAMM, ...I'm gonna order one, ... all details depends on info I asked him to check at EBMM booth!

However, I decided for a Bongo 5 H version, ...I just need one modern point & shoot Music Man bass, ...only question is which color, or possible edition model it will be, ...or just to get a standard one? We'll know soon!

Cheers guys,

I'm really looking forward to join the Bongo club!

Keko, Happy New Year, yeah you'll be right at home with the neck aside from two more frets since you have a Reflex.

Wow. Someone should use that in their sig!
Oh ... wait!

Seriously: may I? If you don't like it, I'll remove it right away. It's your territory after all.

Happy New Year, and happy anniversary, Bongo!

best,

Same thing happened to my order from Bass Central. I figured it was going to be one of the last ones built b/c I ordered on the last day but after a month, I emailed to check on it. A new order was put in on 9/25/12. I'm very impressed with the quality of this bass.

I would like to join you all in rejoicing - happy anniversary Bongo bass - and good health to its creators.

These are great quotations, guys - I may have to borrow them also if you don't mind!

My Bongo is a shameless bass - it accompanied me to a 60s jam last week end and performed great - it sat proudly amongst the vintage paraphernalia, some of which you couldn't even give away 10 yrs ago - and still sounds awful!! Such is life - the Bongo shone out amongst the dowdy old relics (one or two of which were quite pretty, it has to be said).

I love the tone of my Bongo, I love the ease of tonal changes on the fly of my Sterling. Bongo gets more compliments on looks & tone. Its a must have in the arsenal.

no shame in the Bongo... ever. When I finish playing a gig with one of my Bongos, I want to go home, watch "Rocky" movies and do one-armed push-ups... they're THAT good.

Happy 10th Anniversary to the Bongo, and a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year to Everyone @ EBMM and all you Forumites! God Bless!

Well, my Bongo 5 HH Tangerine Pearl/Black Plate with the new tuners is now in the UK. It will obviously be a 2012 model!

I am REALLY looking forward to setting eyes on this thing!
