Happy belated to you, Beth! It was a pleasure meeting you at the Open House last month, hope we have an opportunity to run into each other again soon. Thanks for showing all the Pitters such a great time! :)

Actually, it was quite mellow, I worked and then went home, made myself dinner and went to sleep!

Saturday was the true party. Went to Six Flags Magic Mountain and rode all the rides, especially the big scary ones, WOO HOO! There was almost noone there so the lines were really short. Sort of a dream come true a la National Lampoon's Vacation (Wally World)...

:D

Thank you for all the wishes!

oh yeah, and luckily I am not yet an M (not sure I ever will be, the loud dirty varmints) so I guess I'll just be a pre-ILF-er

ok, I was JUST outside talking about this on break outside like 2 minutes ago...

Roller coaster aficionados are divided into two categories: the ones that like the old wooded coasters and the ones that like the new steel ones. Me? I love BOTH. I love 'em all. Bring it on! Just nothing that spins in place, barf-o-rama.

SO, my top 2 faves are X (from the steel category) and Colossus (wooden category -- the operator of Colossus even said on the announcer "please keep your hands and all body parts in the car at all times. Enjoy your ride, because everyone knows that Colossus is better than Psyclone"). X is like every single "jolt-awake" nightmare you've ever had -- you drop down toward the ground with no track beneath you face first, f***ing awesome!!! Colossus will always be my all-time favorite.

It was a dream, there were almost no people in the park, wanna know how long I waited for Goliath? (2nd fave in steel category) As long as it took me to walk my lazy a$$ up to the station! NO LINE!!! WOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!

Beth,

I never really rode rollercoasters until I met my wife. Nobody in my family ever went on them except for some wooden ones.

My wife's parents and siblings all love to ride the coasters. So once I started dating her, I had to ride all of 'em too. I like steel ones and wooden ones, too. We don't get to amusement parks much these days, but I usually get to Kennywood and Idlewild every year, and sometimes Cedar Point in Ohio.

Me too Steve! Actually, rollercoasters are probably the only 'scary' ride I can deal with. And I have to be talked into it, and then the only way I can get through the ride is to shut my eyes and scream the whole way through.

But, back to Beth's criteria, I prefer wooden rollercoasters - the steel ones are too scary and anything that free falls is not my friend.

Above all, I do not get on the spin-and-barf machines. Because I will. Barf, that is.

I was born to stand on the ground and wave at the people on the ride.

It's a dirty job, but hey, somebody's gotta do it. :)

Bottom line for me is that my life in general is enough of a roller coaster in and of itself so I don't need any help in that regard....kinna like not drinking Patron out of the bottle with Lucious...
