Hey kids,
If he were still here he would be 75 today. I dont mean this as a bummer post, but I thought it would be good to recognize the day. Raise a silent toast later for the original Big Poppa.

Its really wierd he's been gone almost a year......

Happy Birthday, Ernie! I think we need an Annual Memorial Birthday Barbeque in the parking lot, in honor of Ern's B-Day!! Like old times- BP??

I'll be thinking of him, and raising that toast for sure...

Salute! To Pop's and Pop's Pop's!

I lost my dad back in Nov. '82. A fellow biker (for the CHP and Palm Springs Police; still a biker), I think about him when I go cruising.

Never out of my thoughts, actually. We'll have a toast to Ernie on Friday @ the Prince of Wales!

To Me everyday is Mr Ernie Balls Birthday, I think im his long lost son, lol.
Not a day goes by i don't think of him or how he has changed the Music Industry.

Me being a huge Country Music Player, as a kid i followed his steel guitar Playing, long before i imagined him Changing the Guitar & Bass World.

BP,

I'll be tipping glass of Kulmbacher pils in his honor this evening. Probably more than one.

You should start a policy wherein this date is "founder's day" at the company. Let everyone go home early, or cater a lunch, or something. Maybe everyone gets spanked by Ursula the buffing robot... well, that wouldn't do as a memorial. Let's stick to a more celebratory observation.

First toast at the Open House belongs to Ernie. :)
The second to BP and all those who carry on at EB.

Note: "carry on" meaning continue, not cry and whine.

I'll raise a toast to Big Poppa I. All I have right here is a bottle of water, but a toast none the less.

My father has been gone 4 years now, and I still run across things that I know he would have been interested in. Then I remember he's not there.

Life goes on. BP I should be happy his legacy lives on. Heck, another toast for BP II and even BP III in the wings.
