(Rubbing chin) Excellent! Exactly as predicted! :D

Yeah, (initially) it takes some tweaking on both the bass side and on the amp side. But, once you get comfortable with the Bongo's control set-up, you can adjust on-the-fly during gigs to suit the moment.

I'm sure the same could be said about all EBMM axes, but this is a Bongo thread.

First practice was great, but now I've got a new problem.

Yeah, like no matter how much I turned it down for a dinner gig, I had to park the Bongo and play a plastic 'Berger while a customer with a hearing aid was in the dining room. There's just this dangerous Sonic Stuff emanating from a Bongo.

Sweet !!! and yes, the DG with Tort is one of the best combinations going.

...not sure, but has DG always shipped with Tort? Mine did a year and a bit ago (which I had requested)but I hadn't seen that combination before, only DG with some form of White Ice or Pearloid... not insinuatiing that I may have been up on the trend early on but.....

+1 there. If ugly was cheese, the 'white ice' PG on my orange HH5 would be Wisconsin.

I'd been [uh oh] thinking. I thought I'd want the other 'tortise shell' color, like you see in gui*ar picks, that brown-yellow-black mixture, to go on an orange Bongo, and I couldn't seem to find that color anywhere. Thanks to the pix in this thread, I know the red-black torty is perfect.
Actually, it does have a fair bit of yellow in it. The light highlights are a pale yellow.

I've seen redder, lighter tort than mine.
