...MMEB Albert Lee or an Axis with MM90 pups with a Gibson Special DCut P90?
I know they r completely different beasts but I was just wondering since they r P90 pup guitars...you know?
Or any GIbson guitar with P90's?

Thanx.

Hey OA... I owned a Les Paul Gem guitar - basically a Les Paul Studio with P-90s in it... That guitar roared! I think the Gibson P-90s are hotter than the MM90s in the EB guitars, but they're not nearly as versatile. However, mounted in that set-neck, mahogany guitar they did Mississippi Queen with authority! ;) I really think that there are no guitars in the EB stable right now that really nail the Les Paul sound, but Les Pauls are very much "one trick ponies" imho, and that goes for the P-90 equipped model I had as well. It was a great punk, power-pop and classic rock guitar, but it sounded pretty crap clean... I much prefer my Axis with MM90s - it has some of the LP's crunch and aggression, but adds tremendous versatility and a wonderful clean voice...

It interesting Than EBMM chose the maple/ash combo...
I used to have this Framus Diablo Pro and the bridge pup was so spikey!I mean, no matter what pup you put in there , it would have these irritating frequencies you could not dial out.
The other two positions sounded wonderful.
Bookmatched ash, light 2 piece and a rosewood ovangkol neck......g figure.

I have a Les Paul Faded Double Cut and a Super Sport with MM 90's I bought the Super Sport to replace the LP which is now for sale. The SSPT is such a better guitar. No 60 cycle hum, and it sounds AWESOME

I had a DC for a while, sold it to a buddy.

It's a nice guitar for the money, it was like $600 new. It does what it does very well.

However, there are a million guitars with gibby style P-90's in them, but you can only get that MM-90 from EB. The P-90's rock out more, but the MM-90's are sweeter.

Where else can you get a P-90 style pickup to quack other than in a 3 pickup AL w/ MM-90's?
