So I got my action on my new JP just the way I wanted and it was good for weeks. BUt I noticed in the last week it has gotten higher (unless I'm going nuts.)

However, it has been brutally cold here in NY and its hard to even keep the house warm so the heat is always blasting and then it turns off and then the house is cold all day while we're at work. etc.

Could that do it?

Yes, every day ! It's crazy. It was 15 degrees in the New Orleans area a few days ago, now it's 62 degrees. Even though my guitar room has heat & ac, I'm constantly adjusting the truss rods on my Balls.:(:(:(:(

yes, not every day, but every week or two..although it's not just the balls, I have other guitars that need adjusted constantly as well, an old Peavey Wolfgang being the worst for temperamental neck.

yes, i adjust them about 2-4 times a year. when it´s getting at the end of summer, during the winter and during springtime and from time to time, if i think i could change something on the guitars.
and therefore i love the position of the trusrod wheel on EBMM guitars! it´s just done in a few seconds without removing the neck or anything like that.

Yep, went from 73 to 14 back to 68 within a week in my neck of the woods. Truss rod had to be adjusted a tad.

I had a couple guitars that I hadn't played for probably a month or two and played them the other night, I couldn't believe how out of whack they were. Honestly, my EBMMs seem sooooo sensitive to temperature and humidity. My other guitars don't do that.

I guess I should clarify. The reason that I have to adjust every day is b/c I play a different Ball every day. There are 9 days in a week for me.;);););)

Yes. My Albert Lee is especially temperamental at the moment with the change in weather.

I am just about the re-string my ASS and I am sure the neck will need a tweak. My Telecaster (which has a massive neck) was out of whack last night and it needed a tweak too.

When I lived in England it was not such a big deal, but since I have lived in Virginia with its distinct seasons I am forever tweaking them.

That will do it. I left my PDN Bongo at church about 2 weeks ago and it got really cold. I had it locked in our pastors office and thought he kept that room climate controlled but I guess he turned the heat off when he was not there so before church the following week, I had to do a quick adjustment.

I adjust the truss rod on my balls weekly. The temp/humidity fluctuates from day to night and seasonally here on the island. Nothing a quick twist of TR can't handle.

Cheers,

Tom
