Has Anyone Played a New "Classic Series" Sterling?

I love my 2006 Stock USA Sterling and as a recent convert (Fender Jazz player for a long, long time), I would like to gather more info before putting my Fender Custom Shop Jazz bass on the auction block in order to finance on of these. I would be especially interested to hear a comparison of the "Classic Series" to a Standard USA Sterling with a single humbucker. I am really drawn to the gorgeous finished birdseye maple necks, and Sterlings are really a great fit for me. I love the fact that they are smaller and lighter, mostly because I gig 4 or 5 nights per week. Thank you for reading and I am really excited to learn more!

I'd like to know this too. I've not seen any of the Classic Sterlings in the local stores yet. I'm curious how the 2 band vs. 3 band EQ sounds compared to regular Sterling.
