Has anyone tried S.D. pearly gates in a mm Axis?

I bought a MM Axis without the originals pickups. I like the pearly gates sound in a Les Paul guitar. what sound could i get on my mm axis? or could you tell me another pickup nice, warm blussy sound that could go well with the Axis?

Never tried the pearly gates, but I just put a Dimarzio 36th PAF in the bridge position of my AXIS. Sounds just like the sound you are describing. The only things about Duncan's is that you have to cut up the ears on the pickup, or route the wood of the guitar to get them in. Dimarzios for the most part drop right in.

I'll check the Dimarzios. I haven't heard this 36th PAF yet.
