I know modding stuff might be blasphemous around these parts but I'm curious! I've seen and heard it done on single H Stingrays and I think it sounds great. Has that kind of upright bull fiddle, grindy sound to it to me (which I love). Since the ceramic pickup in a sterling is known for being a little more mid-foward sounding, I think it would be a sound I'd use alot! Adding to my list of reasons for trying it out, it also seems like it would be easier and more capable of being reversed since the Sterling H has a 3 way switch in it already. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

But it also has a dummy coil, associated with
the rear coil only. Best bet is to turn the PU
around. Would require very minor woodwork
which you'd hide with a custom PG [$60+/-].

Save the original PG and consider the mod to
be fully reversible. OK so the wood is slightly
modded under the PG but the PU and EQ-pre
are totally original, no matter which way the
PU is facing.
