Has one removed the cover from their Stingray pickup?

So I have a new stingray in coming and I’m looking to keep the stock pickups, but go uncovered.

Has anyone removed the covers from theirs? I know with other brands, it’s sometimes a dab of solder or epoxy, holding the cover on.l, but I was wondering how EBMM does it.

I think it is solder. Keep in mind that they may be taped differently and you may have to clean up some wax.

On my Cutlass humbucker (with the plastic cover) they used a double-sided rubber tape. Very stretchy, took a good 10 or fifteen minutes to get the cover off.

My metal covers have a dab of solder and wax (presumably parafin) inside.
