You would be if you played one. The MM trems stay in tune, don't have antenae sticking out of the rear, and you can adjust each saddle to dial in your setup.

i have never had a Luke but i love the MM trem that was on my AL...it stayed in tune VERY WELL!!!

someone should lend me their Luke for a week and let me give it a whirl!:D

Luke 1 or Luke 2, both are great guitars, l like the Luke 2 cause you can set up the bridge to be floating or non floating, the Luke 2 has a floating floyd rose, but nothing that a bit of packing can't help, l personnelly prefer non floating, and l son't really have a use for a floyd rose anymore, when l was younger maybe, but l just use it every so often. The Luke 1, l find had more grunt in it.

The Luke is a very nice guitar l love 'em, l wouldn't use anything else, try one, l doubt you'll hate it.

Oh, I didn't know that the Luke 2 tremolo is a floating one... It looked like a dive-only trem from the picture... That's what I really need, a floating trem... It doesn't matter whose it is (floyd or whatever) as long as it's floating, and stays in tune, since I do use it quite a bit.

On another note (pardon the pun)... I got to play with that Luke I a little this weekend... and I'm having second thoughts about it... The pickups were decent, and could work for my "metal" needs... The bridge humbucker is hotter than the one on my ibanez, and the single coils, although significantly cleaner, were still pushing out enough juice for me. However, the biggest problem I had was playing with non-jumbo frets. I couldn't believe how much used to them I've become... I'm sure that it's a habit, more than anything else, but they feel so much better for me... I also hit a few spots in a couple of songs, where I could've benefited from having 24 frets, instead of 22 on Luke...

Overall, I like the guitar... but I could've used it a few years ago when I played in a more of a rock/blues band, instead of now... I can get a good deal on that guitar... However, it's no good, even if it cost like $20, if it doesn't work for me quite that well.

If I were to go with a EBMM guitar, everything points to a JP (except my budget)... I guess I'll keep my eyes open, anyways...

I have a new Luke II with the trem set to floating. It holds tune very well, even with heavy abuse. My Axis was/is the same.
