I have to say that I am SOOOOOOOOO glad that I discovered the Music Man Sterling bass!

I don't care if I ever own another model! These are the best thing since sliced bread!

The Lava Pearl from DuBaldo's has replaced my Steinberger XL-2 as my #1 working bass.

I can not believe that this bass hung in that shop for three years! What a gem!

The nutmegs just did not know! It's the bomb! I have another arriving tomorrow.

I can't wait! BP, once again, my hat is off to you and your crew!

I love my basses! Ok, I'm done now...........:D

P.S. I think I finally got the amp sorted out as well!

I love my Sterlings, the only bad thing is they've taken over so much that I've been able to let some Stingrays go!

The balance, the feel, the tone of the preamp, they are just so right. The only thing for me that's better than a Sterling is a Sterling HH.

I plugged one in for the first time recently and you can not get a bad sound out of it. Beautiful sound and feel

I Love all mine too, I'm going through a Sterling Mode these days, Some where around 50 Something i think now, at any rate they rock.

The Sterling neck is soooooo comfortable! I have one on my G.A.S. list, but that's probably years away.

Just out of curiousity, Ritchie, do you have at least one Sterling in every possible pickup combination? :D

I'd love to settle on one type of bass for everything, but I'm just too much of a bass whore to do that. :p

It's probably a good thing that my local GCs have never had a Sterling on the wall when I've popped in. I really do need to reign in my GAS a little.

What is it about the HS that you like more than the others?

Thanks!

Squid/Lisa

many have asked and i really dunno how to explain it...

I like the sound of the S better than the sound of the neck H. this is totally a preference thing so its not that one is better than the other. I just like the S.

that kinda goes a long way for me. This makes me dig pos 3, 4 and 5 more on the HS. pos 1 the HH and HS are the same so that's a "tie". I never really use pos 2 on the HS tho cuz im not into that one. So for the HH id say i prefer pos 2 on the HH as opposed to the HS but in every other position i prefer the sounds from the HS.

that's all "me, me, me" talk (what I like). you may prefer the exact opposite

HS Rules

I recently bought a Sterling HS and truly believe it's the nicest bass I've ever put these mittens on. This includes all the typical super high end boutique overpriced stuff. Just to die for

I forgot to mention that yellow (or whatever color) and white with the maple neck might just be the sweetest color combo, too
