Back a couple of months ago, June to be exact, I was looking for a fellow forumite in the Detroit area.

Roburado came to the rescue. a little bit of back ground. I met Roburado at the Open House, then we ended up hanging at Jack Bday because I had the car and we weren't staying at the hotel at the airport. But I digress.

Well the reason for looking for someone from the Detroit area was I had located an Axis Super Sport and had the bug for it. Rob contacted me and was willing to help out. I was just gonna have him ship it to me. Then to my dumb luck Rob was coming to Boston for a weekend visit!!! The dude brought the guitar with him!!! Talk about outstanding!!! I met him, with my daughters in tow at a deli in Boston we traded $ for the guitar.

Let me tell you all, I have met some really outstanding people from this site and it just proves that there are good people out there in the world. I chat with many off line when on IM and there has never been a bad experience.

Rob, once again man thanx so very much it was/is very much appreciated.

Oh and for all of you that are curious about the guitar.

It's a very messy, dirty Axis Super Sport, Hard tail, in Autumn RedBurst Sparkle, of course.

Rob yah I know I still haven't cleaned it up, work and home have been nuts.

Ripper, thanx. I'll take some better pictures once it's all cleaned up.

Rob's awesome and to let you know how awesome he is let me tell you a bit more of the story. Rob paid for the guitar with his own money, went to as he put it a scary part of town and got the guitar for me.

Yup it's got the black back, I'll have to get back to you about the binding though.

I believe he still has multiple pics of the coyote poop on his camera. He really is a stand-up dude... has been for as long as I've known him.

I joined Rob on the "Indiana Jones and the Sparkling Axe" adventure so I've seen Glenn's guitar. As good as the pic makes it look, in person the guitar is truly a beauty... albeit one that's in need of some TLC as stated before. (As an aside, the case that it came in was a bit dodgy... both Rob and I thought it was made backward or something, or at least looked weird). It was amusing, and a little disconcerting, that the seller was getting rid of this particular guitar and hanging on to a couple of rather pedestrian looking Fenders. I don't think he had any idea that the Autumn Redburst is a rarity. To each his own I guess. Anyway its awesome that Glenn's got it now. :)

That is awesome of Rob to do! I'll never forget the coyote poop pic incident---too funny. People in "the scary part of town" probably saw something similarly odd, in a coyote poop sor t of way, and decided not to mess w/ Rob. LOL J/K Rob
