hello everyone

I have been using discontinued Sony MDR g45 headphones (the ones that wrap around your neck) for many many years

I absolutly love them, great bass/treble frequencies, comfortable and they just sound great. They are great for indoors use only though, too much outside noize gets in and I am getting tired of listening my music at high volumes on the subway

I figured that in-ear / or noize cancelling would be a good solution. my problem is that unfortunately you can never try these things before you buy.

I'd like some suggestions from you, some good in ear headphones or noize cancelling, or both, that maintain a good boomy bass with crisp highs

Thanks

I bought some Shure E4C's off ebay recently for about £60. Primarily used for on stage monitoring for which they were excellent....way better than the standard ones that came with my IEM set up. They are also excellent with my ipod. Great natural bass, very crisp highs. The Westones are meant to be very good too particularly the dual driver models, but lots of money.
