Well, he probably is trying to avoid paying as much fees as possible. Speaking as someone who has sold a few instruments on eBay, I won't accept another money order again.

One of the problems with money orders, besides fraud, is that if their is a mixup with the bank, and they lose your copy, you are dependent on the person who purchased the MO originally to go through the process of getting them reissued. I know this because I am having to deal witha situation like this right now.

Fees are one thing.....giving personal info is another...but it's instant payment and piece of mind...I have done over 100 transactions on ebay with paypal....never got burned once..I'll pay the % to not have the hassel of dealing with checks.
