His original name was Stingray, but they decided to change it.... :)

We're all looking forward to the new range of basses coming through those hallowed gates.

BP does of course join some illustrious company bearing the name Sterling as a first name.....

actor Sterling Hayden.
race-car driver Stirling Moss (ok its a variant but still the same)
sports commentator Sterling Sharpe

The word derives from an Old English term meaning "little star." Also variant of a name meaning "easterner" given to pre-medieval refiners of silver.

there are some geographic ares in the states where sterling means fat loud guy with drinking problem

I didn't know that I was a mega gazillionbillionntrillionaire....wow now that I know it feels good. I'll try not to have it change me too much

Good thing Sterling was a boy. If it was a girl they were going with "Mother Of Pearl"

And you'd all still be playing fenders.
