Pete if you haven't tried T-I's, DO! I've been through a LOT of strings in 25+ years of playing and T-I's are by far the best I've ever used. Very consistent and they last a long time. Plus Steve "Dude" Barr is the coolest guy in the world to buy strings from. I use 345 PowerBass but that darn Monkeeeee is taunting me to try the SuperAlloys. I probably will in a few months when they need replacing.

arghh..... making life complicated
I'll have to see about getting some TI's to try soon, I've got the new ProSteels on the Bongo and my fretless so I think the super alloys might be a match.
