Hey all!
Well, I start the Europe tour tonight with Brian Doerksen at a small-ish hall (900+) here in Wadenswil (sp?) Switzerland... way too beautiful over here.

Anywho, here's a couple of shots from this morning!

cheers,
Pete

Nice. Too bad you're not making it a little further south to Italy's Venice area.

I used to play in Switzerland from time to time. The last time, I took my then 8 year old daughter with me. We were in Grindelwald (sp?) playing a country music festival and to this day my daughters’ favorite memory was the “Cow $hit Roulette”.

In the parking lot of the hall we were playing they had several booths and games set up in sort of an old west town theme. In one part of the parking lot they had drawn a big chalk circle with numbers all around it, with a guy standing in the middle holding a rope tied to one of those big Swiss cows, huge cowbell and all. The man would gently encourage the cow to walk around and around in the circle.

The object of the game was to bet money on the number the cow would eventually… well, make a deposit on. We walked up right as the cow “highlighted” the winning number and the small crowd cheered; Carly still tells this story. Who says traveling with your kids can’t be educational!

Oh, and do have the fondue, it’s the real deal! :D

Hi Peter !

I see that you're enjoying your stay in Switzerland !

I came home without any problems after our meeting ;)

You're the first forumite I meet in person and it was a real pleasure !

I'll surely post more about it in the next time.

Enjoy those beautifull landscapes.
