Hey guys, take it easy on me with my noob questions, but yeah i guess it has taken me long enough to ask..
So i bought a JP6 w/ bullet inlays, painted headstock and piezo back in '07 and i've never been quite happy with the factory string tension and action, it's just killing my fingers and i can't pull of any crazy bends or vibrato and it just doesn't seem natural since i've been playing guitar for quite some time. The string tension is just way too "tight" and the action is alright but maybe a tad high. It hurt me even more when i played a jackson SL1 straight out of the factory and it felt like butter compared to my factory JP6. I'm a total noob when it comes to adjusting this stuff on a musicman, so if you guys could give me some pointers as to what i have to adjust and how much and where i could find that, i would greatly apreciate it.

TL;DR plz help me loosen up the string tension without sending my action to sh**. thanks.

might need some relief on the neck, a truss rod adjustment im pretty sure should do it.

thanks for the suggestion, i really apreciate it. Should i turn clockwise or counter clockwise??

i also forgot to mention the intonation is abit off on the high E string so yeah maybe the truss rod could fix that too.

it would be counter clockwise to give relief, you just need to loosen it up a little not to much and keep trying to find out what is comfortable to you. :)
