I'm mostly a rosewood guy but I love the look of the SR5 with a maple neck. What's the most popular color combination around here? I'm thinking either white or honeyburst - which neck should I go with?

If you like Rosewood, go Rosewood. With or Honeyburst, can't go wrong with either one, though I'd prefer white.

Actually, I think the exact opposite.

White SR5, rosewood board, matching headstock...

Honeyburst SR5, maple board, matching or non matching looks good.

If you'd like to see any of my SR5s, i'd be more than happy to share what pics I have.

Here comes the shameless CBP plug... (Sorry Bill :D)

White does look great with either - I just have a thing for white, with a white pearloid guard and maple neck :)

And honeyburst does suit either as well! I love it with both, but I personally would just go for rosewood :D

Koch, if you think the different neck woods sound different, go for the one you prefer the sound of. If you think they don't, just see which one you like the look of best. You'll get no general consensus from us I fear! :p

I'm a big fan of this particular combo--White, maple fingerboard, matching headstock, tort pickguard. This is the first SR5 I bought, and I think it's pretty classic.
