I'm no bass player but have a Redwood Stingray HH in my collection. My goal is to get something for demos and playing with live drums at get togethers. I'm looking at the mini cmd151p. What do you guys recommend?

For small get togethers you probably can get by with the lighter CMD121P. It also has DI and ext spkr hookups in case you need to go bigger.

I'd go with the F1 and a good 1x12' cab, like Epifani UL2 or something like that.

The F1 sounds great with every Music Man I tried it with. And you can go as big as you might ever need with it too.

I've tried most of them in the shop, my choice would be CMD121P or LMII/III+102p box.
I went with Genz because i think it sounds better on low volume (0 - 1), for home practising.

LM3 or F500.

Id personally opt for an Aguilar or Berg cabinet, but thats just me.

I have an Aguilar DB212 (4 ohm) and it sounds amazing with the LM3.

I have the CMD 102P (2x10) combo and it does sound really good. I chose it over the Jeff Berlin combo (my favorite) b/c it seems to handle the low B better. I do have a few basses with a low B so that's why I chose it. Otherwise, it would have been the Berlin combo b/c, to me, it's the best sounding Markbass combo. The mini 15 that you're looking at is basically the same but it has a tweeter.

THey all sound good...I have two aggie cabilnets with blown horns...I never fixed them I am over the top happy with the pairing. The idea of a separate head and cab is neat it give you flexability to get a bigger cabinet if you sponsor a showcase or event

+1 on both of these. The combos can get loud, like stupid loud, but still have bottom and clarity.

To be honest, though, you can't go wrong with any Markbass amp! :)

I've loved my Momark and am currently digging the LMII through an Epifani 112. The Matkbass filters are really great.

I really want to try a LMTube and a TA-501 at some point.

The CMD121P with the NY121 can level small cities and weighs less that 50 lbs no BS!!!

I've recently upgraded my LMII to a LM800, and have just taken delivery of a Classic 152 cab. You can't go wrong with Markbass really - just buy something that matches your wallet and the size of your car.

I am fortunate to have several Markbass amps and combos. You can't go wrong with any model, Currently I am using the F1 for smaller gigs and the Momark 800 for larger gigs. So small and light ,they can be paired with any cab and have plenty of headroom. Having a separate head gives you the foundation to build a rig for just bout any musical situation.

Big fan of MB heads. I'm a Bergantino guy tho. I disagree about a 12" cab being enough. It's only enough if you play with a drummer that's mature and knows his dynamics. I recommend a 1x15" for most situations.

I run an LMIII with an Epifani UL410 and its a pretty insane combo. I am a total devoted Mesa Boogie fan when it comes to amps but I can't deny that the LMIII is a brilliant amp. To think that these days, your amp can fit in the side pocket of your gig bag and weigh less then a wah wah pedal is pretty amazing.
