Can anyone help me with this because i want a fretless and that one looks nice but 3bq? 1979 dont think so and ebony line does this been modified or what?

Found it on Gav's site. Here is what it says...

B016234..Neck 16 Apl 1980. Body undated. Natural with Fretless Ebony. Fretboard is lined but not by factory. 3 Bolt neck. Strings through body. Serial on bridge.

Also, that has a 3-band preamp, which I don't think the Pre-EBs had.

As far as value, I'm not the one to ask...no expertise here. As far as the bass goes, I could live with the fretboard not being in original condition, but who knows what kind of preamp is in it or what kind of mods have been done. For me the electronics is a big part of buying a Music Man and without knowing what's there or having a plan to restore it, I would be a little shy.

Yup, that's a modded bass alright. The eq would not be original.
