Help out a fellow forumite.....

Can any of you bad boys recommend a good d.i. box for my piezo equipped ASS that:
a) sounds darn good
b) won't break the bank
c) I'm likely to find on eBay (or elsewhere)

I play live and we use Roland but maybe I can do better?....

Tommy, what difference does it make whether the box is active or passive? For piezo, is one more desirable than the other?

Also, have you compared the Behringer to other boxes?

I haven't used that exact model, but I used to own a H&K Red Box and A/B'd it with this bad boy - in the end the H&K Red Box had to go because it wasnt worth hanging onto for the money. Thumbs up for Behringer from here.

the only one that i'd mabey want over the behringer is the fishman....

iv'e used whirlwind......peevee.......red box......country boy.......ect....

(the red box is cool if yer pa is small & on the bright side...or if your soundman's high end hearing is destroyed....)

i have a mini compressor w/ a di built in that sounds GREAT. or i should say ....sounded great til one night playing on a restaurant deck & gettin caught in a downpour killed it.
fyi.....roland cubes don't like water either......

Behringer makes great stuff, at the expense of ripping off everyone elses designs! Great for us consumers though!
