Hey so I need some help regarding rack mount bass effects. Ive had line6 bass pod xt and they didnt really get to me... I want something 100% analog. Anyone ever try smr mini mo, thats all that comes to mind with bass rack mount effects.

Anyone here have a particular rack effect they run with their rays.

I have a vintage ibanez ue400 for guitar i have tried running thru my mesa bigblog 750 but i just dont like it and the effects loop is also on the front which is a major issue because it takes an additional rack space...

So help please....

I hear the Behringer V-amp pro bass is really good, about £110 new but you may have to buy the foot pedal separately. Worth a look though.

Behringer is begginer gear. Its cheap, and build quality and inspection show it. If you're lucky you'll get a good amp to learn with but their stuff usually blows. I owned a vamp and traded up to line 6. Both dont sound anything remotely close to anything i want. I want real analog effects. Im not a tube snob, but some things are better the old faShion way.

Why does it need to be rackmount?
I thought I want a rackmount (digital) effect for a long time, but found out that I just get better usablity, flexibility and sound by using stomp boxes. Some of them old fashioned, some of them new designs... I just use whatever works with bass and fits my playing, and with the single effect units it's quite easy to swap the chorus if you don't like it anymore and use that better octaver once you found it. With a rack unit, you have to like all what's in there, and never change your mind.
