I own a Silhouette Special in HSS configuration. The problem is that it just won't stay in tune any time I use the (non floyd) tremolo. Now, I'm not talking major dive bombs here either. Specifically, the 3rd String will go sharp by a 3/4 of a half-step after using the tremolo. If I then do a whole step bend on the 3rd string, it corrects the note again. The only modification I've made on this guitar thus far is the inclusion of the String-Saver Teflon saddles in the bridge. Is this a slippage problem on the nut? Please help!

hey dude, you might wanna try to contact Ernie Ball Customer Service. They are top notch and will answer all your questions.

I don't think it is serious. You just need to lube the nut and the saddles. Use pencil or some little teflon oil on the saddles and trem elements. Or even better buy some Big Bend's Nut Sauce

Nut Sauce?!

Ohhhhh I get it now... so I dive down, and the string gets stuck at the nut, then the whole step bend up 'un-sticks' it back into tune. So with lubricant, the string should just back and forth to its original position, from dives and bends thus staying in tune! Seems obvious, yet it doesn't! I'll try out the Big Bends Nut Sauce first then if that doesn't cut it, I'll call Ernie Ball Customer Service!

Thanks for all your help - you're the best!
