Hi
I picked up a new ray. Lovely one in red with matching headstock. Had already played it a few times when in the sho and bought it today. Got it home and played a bit and realised the action is awful I think it has been in the shop a few years. If I look down as if playing there is a slight bow in the neck and the strings feel a bit tighter than they should. I thought a quick tweak of the truss rod might sort it out so I turned it clockwise a tiny bit (that's clockwise looking from the body of the bass down the neck). I didn't want to do anything else with it as the truss rod was a tight as it would go. Should it be like this or has someone done a bad setup on it. The action seemed a little high too. I lowered the saddles a little to lower it. Help needed and appreciated. i am a bit worried that the truss rod was as tight as it will go.
