I have been using .009s my whole life i've been thinking about switching to 10s the regulares but i don't want my fingers hurting or nuthing what does the different size do for sound too? :confused:

I started out playin 9's and switched to 10's about a year after I started. having said that, to me, the 10's provide a slightly fatter tone that is naturally more articulate, too. the 9's bring out more of a round tone, the strings die quicker, and they're more proned to a buzzy sound. I also find that 10's allow me to play just as fast and the only real difference action-wise is they're alot harder to bend than 9's. 10's also, imo, provide a more stable tuning and intonation.

just my opinion, and I'm sure alot of people would give you alot of different answers. good luck with the switch! :)
